About me

From tester
to test manager

Since July 2026 I've been a test manager in OTP Bank's Daily Banking tribe. I look after testing for several squads: I plan the regression cycles, track execution, and report on risks and release readiness. A big part of the job is keeping architects, product owners, business analysts and testers on the same page.

Before that I was a tester on a large card system replacement project, and I took over as acting test manager when the previous one left. I still keep close to the technical side: end-to-end, API and backend testing.

  1. Test Manager

    Since Jul 2026

    I'm responsible for testing across several squads in the Daily Banking tribe. I set up our regression testing in Xray: one shared test set filtered by labels, a test plan for each release cycle, and separate executions per product. I also reworked the Xray report templates so every test run shows up with its own status, which makes release reports easier to read. With the automation engineers, I'm moving more of our automated coverage to the API, web service and database level.

  2. Software Tester

    Apr 2024 – Jun 2026

    I tested the replacement of a bank card back-office system through three go-live phases, covering issuance, activation, status changes, renewals and replacements. Day to day this meant API testing, PL/SQL data checks, JMeter load tests, and validating RabbitMQ and Kafka messages. When the previous test manager left, I took over as acting test manager.

I tested releases of Kinsta's hosting platform and the MyKinsta dashboard redesign: regression, smoke, acceptance and UI testing, plus GraphQL checks in Apollo Studio. I was also responsible for the release gate, coordinated bug triage in the QA team, and maintained Docker test environments.

Family recipe app

2025 – 2026

A recipe app for our family, made for iPhone

It started as an Eleventy site with recipes stored as Markdown files. I rebuilt it as a React PWA on Cloudflare Workers with a D1 database. You can paste text or a screenshot and AI turns it into a recipe draft, but nothing is saved until someone checks it. I make the product decisions, keep the backlog and do the testing.

Resume builder for QA roles

Builds ATS-friendly resumes, with presets for manual testers, automation testers and test managers. It exports PDFs with Playwright on the server, translates between Hungarian and English with DeepL, and saves and loads its state as JSON. I built it with AI coding tools: I wrote the requirements, iterated on the prompts, tested it and prepared the deployment.
